A retired attorney, company president, and teacher, Frederick Russo lost the love of his life to the dreaded Alzheimer’s disease over the course of several years. In his latest work, the Longest Goodbye, he shares his story of seeing the person closest to him being ravaged by dementia.

Since he was a young man, he was interested in being a writer and has exhibited his talents in the form of short stories and poems, mostly as a hobby for his own enjoyment. In his first published work, he shares his story of being an Alzheimer’s caregiver, providing a firsthand account of the experience and its effects on his family.
